SpaceX is set to launch 24 Amazon Kuiper satellites, following a week of weather delays. The mission, named Kuiper Falcon 03 or KF-03, is scheduled to lift off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 8:08 p.m. EDT (0008 UTC). Spaceflight Now will provide live coverage, starting an hour before the launch. The 45th Weather Squadron predicts a 95% chance of favorable weather, but a moderate risk remains for the booster recovery area. Despite this, the weather pattern is expected to be clear, with winds veering from northwest to north and low moisture levels. The primary concern is the low risk of Cumulus Cloud Rule violations. SpaceX will utilize the Falcon 9 first stage booster B1091, which has previously launched the KF-02 mission and will eventually become a Falcon Heavy core booster. B1091 will perform an autonomous landing on the drone ship 'Just Read the Instructions' within eight minutes of liftoff, marking the 138th landing on this vessel and the 517th booster landing overall. The Kuiper deployment sequence will follow, bringing the satellite constellation to 153 in low Earth orbit. This is SpaceX's sixth mission in support of the Kuiper constellation, following three launches with United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rockets and two with Falcon 9 rockets. Amazon and SpaceX are key players in the satellite broadband internet market, with Project Kuiper aiming to provide global internet coverage.
